Poulshot Village Hall

Poulshot Village HallThe Village Hall is at the centre of village life in Poulshot. Situated on the green, the building was once the schoolhouse. It was bought by the village in 1977, since when it has been used as the Village Hall. The hall consists of two main activity areas plus a large kitchen and toilet facilities. There is a tarmac area to the front of the hall which can be used for outdoor events and a small play area for toddlers. The hall has been completely refurbished in 2008 and meets all relivant standards and provides excellent disabled access.

A number of local groups use the Hall for a variety of activities, some energetic and some more leisurely. The Hall is ideally suited for special occasions such as family parties or children’s events or for small businesses to use as an out-of-town alternative to an expensive hotel for a seminar or a large meeting.

The capacity of the hall is about 80 people and tables and chairs accommodate this number are available.

Charges for the hire of the hall are as follows:

Village Activities £5 per hour
Outside users £8 per hour

Rates can be negotiated for longer periods, for example full day or weekend bookings.

The Village Hall Committee are keen to see the hall used as much as possible and would welcome bookings from individuals and groups, both within and outside the village.
